Revised format / next event

Thanks to everyone for taking the time to feedback on the first UX Café event.

Following everyone's thoughts here's the proposed format for the next event:

- Networking 30 mins
- Intro 5-10 mins
- 3 startup pitches (10 mins presentation, 10 mins expert feedback, 5 mins audience) 75 mins in total
- Networking/close 30 mins
From[masked]pm, beers & pizza on us/sponsor.

Which equates to... less pitches, more time for chitter chatter, less hunger pains and a stricter control over the timings (I'll bring my whistle...). Actually Alexis & Alex (from Teacher Horizons), you guys are ex-teachers, up for the job? ;)

I think 25 mins for each startup to cover presentation, feedback and questions seems about right based how things panned out over the first event. We'd rather have less pitches and more quality problem-solving.

We're aiming for the next event at the end of Sept (most likely at Google Campus to keep costs down). A couple of people suggested having a more hands-on workshop format and this is something we're considering. However this may well be a separate event from the Café as it will be driven by collaborative ideas from smaller groups (with a UX expert facilitating each group). At this stage we're keen for as many people as possible to learn something from the events but I'm sure this will evolve as time goes by.

If you're interested in getting involved with the next event then drop me a line, whether you're a...
- Startup looking to get some UX help
- UXer looking to share your expertise
- A potential sponsor looking to help cover costs of beer & pizza

Anyway, interested to hear your thoughts.
