Sometimes you find yourself in a phase in life where you feel a little disconnected. You have no community and work takes up a big chunk of your life or maybe you just moved to Vacaville or maybe you just want to make some new friends! This group is for GOOD PEOPLE who like not just meeting other GOOD PEOPLE, but also try to make long-lasting relationships with them. You enjoy hearing about other group members' life as much as you like talking about your own. This group is also for people who want to expand their social life outside of their cubicles and their corporate Happy Hours and dinners with family.
Making new friends is a priority!
Hopefully most of the following words describe you:
Genuine, kind, passionate, funny, cool, adventurous, outgoing, fun, social
What to expect from the group:
Make new friends, Explore fun spots, Play some games and Socialize.
We are open to suggestions from all group members. Bars, BBQ, sports, parks, hikes, Happy Hours, brunches, movies, nightclubs, charities, volunteering activities, etc etc ....
So I joined the group, WHAT NOW??
Come to our next event. Meeting completely new strangers can be awkward and intimidating even if you are an outgoing individual. We would love to welcome all newcomers with open arms and make you feel comfortable. All we ask for you is to give and take some humor while we are at it.
About this group: This group is for anyone interested in outdoor activities and meeting new people. All skill levels are welcome and most events will be pet friendly! Lets face it, there are not many Meetup groups in our area.... The area between SF and SAC -- so I am putting together a group that can fill the void. Our group will be centered around some local, close to home events but also have some that are 40+ miles away. We'll arrange car pools, often hooking up with Meetup groups in other parts of our area.
If you have any ideas for other types of Meetup Events, please let me know.
So ...... Let's meetup and share some awesome stories
Group policies?? We ask that everyone be respectful to each other. That includes being patient while hiking, being honest about your abilities and being courteous when RSVPing for events. If your plans change, please change your RSVP asap, hopefully more than 24 hours before the event.
We don't kick people out of the group for no shows or for inactivity, we just ask that you try your best to communicate your intentions.
What's a wristband fee?
We use a red wristband that says "VACAVILLE FUN" for our events. It makes it easy for new members to find us and helps alleviate that fear of walking up to the wrong people. We've all been there... I ask for a $2 wristband fee to help cover the costs of the wristband and running the meetup group.
