Monthly Skill-Share, Barter and Preparedness Meeting

Hi Everyone! New Place! New Time! Lots of people were requesting a non-Wednesday night, so we did it!

Our monthly recurring meetings have become great places to learn new skills, barter/sell our hand-made and hand-grown (or hand-caught) wares, and socialize.

At last month's meeting, the very important topic of the recent banning of backyard chickens in Vacaville was discussed and will probably be discussed again.

There will be a presentation on growing your own barley fodder, and

A presentation on Guerrilla Gardening (no guerrillas will be hurt in this presentation, honest), and

Everyone will receive a handy companion planting handout

If anyone has something they wish to bring to trade, barter or sell, you are highly encouraged to do so.

Hello All! I figured out what the cost per flat of fodder is.
-Take 80 pounds of barley for a total of 1280 ounces.
-3 cups of barley per flat is 6.1 ounces of barley per flat
-That makes each 80 pound bag worth 209 flats
-At approx $18 per 80 pound bag, that works out to $.086 cents per flat.

This group is free. Sometimes there might be a small charge for materials at one of the classes.
