Monthly Skill-Share, Barter and Preparedness Meeting

Hi Everyone! Last month's meeting was pretty exciting. We love our new banquet room. Last month, we had a presentation on growing your own barley fodder and another on natural pest control.

This month, we would like to have a round table discussion about Emergency Preparedness. After the wildfire in Roseville recently, a discussion of “what to take with” when you have to evacuate your house, might be a timely subject. Fire officials knocked on the doors of 250 suburban neighborhood homes and told them to get out now. What would you take with you, in such an instance?

When people start down the path of a bug out bag, all of a sudden the bag is 80 pounds and has anything and everything. We plan to discuss what is best NOT to pack. Also of course you might have different pack for different reasons, and if you're really good you have them broken down, for example: into bare minimums (walking load) and nice to haves (driving load).

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
