Monthly Meeting - Emergency Preparedness

Do you have a closet full of toilet paper and flour? Maybe just maybe, you have a problem? The problem is: You don't have two closets full!!! Ha, ha, ha!

Kidding aside you ever feel like most people have no idea what is going on in the world? Do you get the "deer in the headlights" look when when you mention food preps, GMO's, the Federal Reserve, or teotwawki? Are you ready to take action to make your life better for yourself and your family/friends ...and if you can, your community?

Do you know what items to put in a 72-hour emergency kit?  Do you know what the first items to go at the store are and how to supplement them yourself? Do you know which food stock lasts the longest?

Do you need a place to talk about all this stuff without judgment, whether to teach, to learn, to express your concerns for the future, or to at least connect with people like yourself? You found it right here. We'll see you at the meeting!

    Good show-and-tell. Would be nice to develop a list of topics of interest from the group and build an online wiki for each topic. I'd be willing to help with that.

      Definitely email Dave and myself with that idea. If you need domain space, I've got it. Let us know what sort of help or input you need. We'd be happy to support this effort. Thank you for offering!

    @Quintero (and everybody else)

    The discussion this month is: You (i.e., the plural you).

    Do you have a favorite gardening tool, pickling recipe, or heirloom seed variety? Do you have a creative way for making your own butter, soap, or strawberry jam? Everybody bring something in and tell us about the thing or things that inspire and motivate you as a gardener or homesteader. After everybody has a had chance to discuss their favorite tool, recipe, etc., we'll proceed to an "open forum".

    This sounds like something I have been wanting to learn, yet I will be out of town for this topic. I am sorry to miss it.
