Virginia Freethought Renaissance (VFR) is a democratically organized educational group that seeks to unite VA freethinkers into a single coalition to participate jointly for communicative purposes. Of the 22 secular organizations in the state of VA, 11 have chosen to associate with VFR. We're are in the process of expanding to the DC Metro area.

This meetup page was formally known as "Atheist Book Club." The book club type discussion will continue on a bi-monthly basis however we will also be advertising events on the request of our associate members and scheduling some of our own. As a result, not all of the events on our calendar are hosted by VRF - we will cross-list events at the request of any of our associate member organizations.

If you have any questions, or you'd like to help out with event planning, I can be reached at shelleymountjoy@yahoo.com
