Golden Corral Open Carry Dinner (Gun Appreciation Day)

This will be http://gunappreciationday.com/

Join me for dinner. Please be on time. I am walking in as a group at 6:30.

I would love to go to a gun friendly local restaurant in Scottsdale but I do not know of any.

Please tell your friends about this. Feel free to open carry. We can not show and tell our guns, we can wear them tastefully. If I see anyone taking their gun out of a holster I will ask them to leave our table and the group. Safety is our concern.

We have done a few open carry events in the past. So far our turnouts have been great!

Ask me for an insurance quote and I will buy your dinner.

Conrad, I did my homework and the requirement for public facilities to provide safe weapon storage is here. http://www.azleg.gov/FormatDocument.asp?inDoc=/ars/13/03102-01.htm&Title=13&DocType=ARS

Very interesting. Thank you for looking that up. I just wonder what all is covered under "public facilities."

      Conrad,

Public facilities as put forth for this law were city halls, motor vehicle offices, court houses, libraries etc. The word "public" denoted state, county or city offices where the government dealt directly with citizens. The Libertarian Party started the ball rolling with a mass protest at the Department of Administration building (I was there). Earnest Hancock (one of the speakers Saturday) and his attorney Mark Victor attempted to enter the building with a weapon and demanded it be checked by security. They refused and the matter was pursued in the legislature. When the law first passed the agencies messed with us by having the Police come to the site of the check in and take the weapon to the police station for storage. One then had to go to the station and retrieve the weapon from which the police had stolen the ammo. The law was upgraded to reflect the meaning to be onsite and readily accessible. This law has no effect on Federal properties or private establishments.
