Who are we: we are a a very down to earth, easy to get along with co-ed poker social group -  This is a casual fun game of Texas- hold-em - tourney style  - and yes you MAY bring a friend  -- or two--  (just include them in your rsvp count)....Group demographics is diverse -  Age range is 20's-60's ...

ALL new membership requests must include:

• A photo (actual photo - not cartoon or symbol as your profile picture)  - unless you are already  'known by other members in person'...
• An introduction and your phone number!!...so we may call you in the event of last minute changes
• An answer of YES to the did you read the 'about us' section... What you are reading right now is the 'about us' section.  ;-)

Newly Approved members are then required to: 

• Attend their first game within two months!!
• Attend at least 6 of the 12 months to stay 'active' in the group...If you are inactive more than 6 months in a row, we will assume you are no longer interested - and will remove you from the group.
• RSVP accurately... it's critical and courteous...  Please CALL  host(s) if a last minute emergency occurs.  Phone numbers are generally ON the event description page or on emails from host(s).. Otherwise, anyone 'rsvping yes but simply not showing' is removed from the group after two instances.... NO exceptions.

Please see the 'valrico monthly poker group' meetup site for specific details about every event - but normally - we ask that you please bring:

    * a side dish or appetizer to share (and include it in your RSVP...)
    * $20.00 buy-in --- plus an (optional) one time add on of $10.00 -- all goes toward winnings pot!
    * $1.00 meet-up fee - this does NOT go towards winnings pot. This goes toward the expenses host(s) incur ----- as well as toward part of the actual annual meetup fee charged to organizers for having a group.

How it works:
~Game time varies - normally a Friday or Saturday night - or  Saturday or Sunday late afternoon... See meetup calendar for details...

~Once you buy in (pay your 20 dollars) - you are given 2500$$ in chips to play the game with.... you do not play 'with cash' as you would in a cash game..

~within the FIRST hour, should you want MORE chips, there is the option to pay 10 dollars for 1200$ additional in chips.... thats it!

~Games normally last approximately 3.5 to 4.5 hours.

~latecomers are blinded out the first 40 minutes... After 40 minutes (two blind levels) latecomers are considered no shows and will not be allowed to play.

PLEASE NOTE THIS IS THE 'STANDARD' MONTHLY GAME - HOWEVER,  WE DO ALSO HAVE  THEMED AND/OR 'SUPER TOURNEY'S' OFFERED THROUGHOUT THE YEAR  AND ITS HAS A SLIGHTLY LARGER BUY-IN -- WITH MANY MORE OPPORTUNITIES FOR WINNINGS!! --- THIS IS WHY READING EACH MONTH'S GAME DESCRIPTION IS VERY IMPORTANT!  ;-)
