Android Lightning Talks!

We're excited to finally get moving on a lightning talks meetup format for the group!

In case you don't already know what lightning talks are, they're 5-10 minutes long, each presented by a different speaker. The subject can be, well, anything Android! The list below doesn't cover it all but highlights the breadth available.

You're invited to share something from your experience developing on Android or else come along, learn about new stuff and be social!

We'd love to hear you talk Android about:

• Interesting ways you're solving problems for your app

• Sharing your development process around it

• A great library you recently used

• Something you built

If you are interested in speaking, feel free to comment on this meetup thread and outline a short (2 line?) abstract / description. Anyone else can jump in on the evening of course, it's going to be pretty informal.

If anyone needs any help with preparing or review for presenting, please feel free to contact me directly and I'd be glad to help. Keeping talks short can be a challenge, but that's part of the fun!

Topics that you might be knowledgable about and might want to speak about could include: • Authentication / Security • Adaptive UI

    • A/B testing • Test automation (unit, UI, instrumentation, etc) • Sensors • Profiling (memory/battery/data etc) • Optimization (caching, batching, buffering) • Google services integration (GAnalytics, G+, Drive etc) • Multi SDK compatibility • Hybrid approaches / use cases • Leveraging SaaS for your apps (notifications, real-time messaging, payments etc) • Specialist niches (augmented reality, scientific apps for field use) • Secondary markets (Amazon, other) • And anything else!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
