AngularJS February: Data-Driven Documents and Visualizations with D3 and Angular

Hi everyone,

Excited to be back at Launch Academy in February, with a good lineup of content.

Doors open at 7 PM.  We'll get started at 7:15 PM.

Warm-ups:

• Khurram from Lighthouse Labs (our host) will showcase and talk about one of the apps that was built during the final project by two Lighthouse Labs cohort1 students using AngularJS, Grunt and Phonegap.

• I'm (Joel) going to talk about The Decorator Pattern and how it can be used appropriately with AngularJS as one strategy for building solid applications that will hold up well to passing time and changing requirements - life's two constants.

Hacking:

Owen is going to take us through a crash course with D3.js and Angular.  D3.js is a framework for bringing data to life - and it plays nicely with Angular.  We'll learn to create charts and other visualizations, and develop interactivity.

Please RSVP only if you're likely to come, and please update promptly if your plans change.

Thanks all for a great evening. All of the presentations were interesting and I picked up some good pointers for the app I'm planning to buildwith Angular SignalR and D3.

Sorry to turn the hacking session into a presentation, but I got the vibe that people were really into it.

    Until next month!
