How long have you been researching or have you just started?

Forty years ago on a trip to Europe I visited my grandpa's English hometown and met some relatives. My mother had me help her in labeling old photos. Since Google, I've intermittently researched, when in the mood.

Which geographical areas are your family from?

Southern Ontario (Peterborough, Toronto etc.); England and Northern Ireland; and (supposedly) Pennsylvania Dutch.

For now, what would you like to achieve from your research?

I inherited many ancient photos/letters/diaries and would like to share them. A genealogy book (In Search of the Irish Darlings) was done about my Dad's father's family that raises as many questions as answers, so I'd also like to satisfy my curiosity, if possible.

Which aspects of genealogy interest you most?

Finding whether old family stories have any truth; better knowing a personage in a sepia snapshot; insight into relatives who impacted me in childhood.

Which meeting days and times are best for your schedule?

Not mornings.

Introduction

I'm fairly new to Vancouver (was raised in Southern Ontario). I was a school psychologist/therapist.
