Tuesday Night Ride Pedal Fest INTERMEDIATE - ADVANCED !

XC/AM pedal up and down the familiar and not so familiar trails of Burnaby Mtn. Starting out on North Rd trails. This ride will be random each week a different route. I want evolve this ride to something where intermediate riders can push themselves to advanced, with an extended longer route that requires a greater effort. Come out and get your pedal on.

Well - I just ran the half marathon on sunday so fitness should be fine:) And I beat my personal best and did it in 2hours 15seconds:). I just have not rode my bike this season yet. If you guys are too fast then that is fine - I can ride solo. Usually I ride Nicole's trail down... but am a bit slow up. I just want to ride my bike and company would be nice....

So not sure if this is the group.

Tricia, you will fit into the VMBM just fine, there are all levels of rides here. It will just take a few rides to see where you fit in. If you do start with a group and decide to go solo please just let the group know before you do.

Okay - Thanks Dave. Will see how the ride goes on Thrusday. How do I know which group you all are? I have never joined a group I don't know anyone in - but I am eager to get on my bike. I would prefer not to ride solo, but if I have to, I will. (not so good saftey wise)

Andrew I would describe them as green and blue, some moderate to steep climbs. Lots of pedaling.

Tricia, I'm also a slow climber and I always go down Nichole's when I ride solo. I don't mind going off on my own if I can't keep up. Maybe we could split into two groups. I'm not sure if the pedal fest ride is for me but I won't know until I do one.

I haven't been to the top of SFU in 4-5 years. I'm a slow climber so I'll need a head start going up. But I'm fine coming down on trails like Nichols'.
