Want to check out what riding on Burke Mountain is like? Well here is your chance!

We will stay on the lower trails and decide on Saturday which ones to try... most likely ride Braap and Hustler then back up again to try Dawg and Hustler again.

Riding level: Begintermediate*

These trails are great a good progression from Burnaby trails.

*(which means - some experience/comfort on trails and obstacles)

Nice touch with the GPS tracks. I have a Garmin Oregon and gradually piecing together a gps map for Burke. I've got most of the lower mountain mapped but not a lot of the top yet. Oh well, a good summer project for me ;D

Best bike for these trails, X/C or downhill?

    June 14, 2013

    • David L

yes definitely XC is fine for all of the trails mentioned. not familiar with Braap though.

Braap is an AM/DH oriented trail with some jumps (optional) that being said I rode it on a brakeless bmx bike before so any bike will work, I'll have my DH bike there tomorrow

Where are you meeting up Richard? I've always parked at the first turn on harper.

    June 14, 2013

    • Richard

Sorry the map spot sucks... Meeting spot is at the first switchback on Harper Ave. It is the first area you will see vehicles parked once you get into the trees.
