Last year we did several Burner rides around Bunzten... they're great XC fitness rides, with nothing technically stupid, some gravel access roads, double track multi-use trails, bit of single track, and some other treats; there are 2 or 3 big climbs with switchbacks involved, so "cardio" is definitely in order; one plus about this being a night ride is that the hills don't look so big! This ride is not technical, but we move along at a good clip, and only stop occasionally, so I would say this isn't for beginners and fitness is a must asset! This ride should take about two hours, so make sure your lights are charged and last the appropriate time. Forecast calls for clear and crisp, so this should be a perfect night. Please be ready to ride at 6:30 sharp, as waiting around on a cool night is no fun.
Good sense of humour is mandatory and whining is not tolerated :-)
Potential apres will be St. James Pub in Newport Village.
