Ladies only ride returns

Calling all girls who ride or want to ride!

I would like to start up the all girls rides again, starting at the beginner level and working up from there.

If you have a functioning mountain bike (hard tail or full suspension) and want to get better,  this is the way to start.  Ride with other ladies, without the pressure of the guys around.  Even if you just want to get out for some exercise and have some fun, you are welcome to join.

We will start on Burnaby mountain, lower trails; working on body positioning, braking, cornering & balance skills as well as bike set up.   Once everyone is comfortable we could move up the mountain or other locations that offer new challenges.

Is there a parking lot we are meeting at or any check point? I have never been there and map is not showing exact location. I just do not want to get lost or be late :)

    • TracyB

Oh! Thanks Irina! There is a traffic circle at the top of Heritage mtn road before you turn onto David. Go around the traffic circle to point back down Heritage then park on the right. You will see Denese & I hanging out by my silver toyota Matrix (Escape is getting expensive to drive) ;)

    April 29

    • Denese

Ok, I'm off at 230p so we can split as soon as you are off. What is Bert Flynn like? Are there trails like lower snake or harder?

      April 30

    • TracyB

Bert Flynn is a bunch of loops of flowy single track that is not especially steep but full of really great features including log rides, drops, steep rolls etc that are really easy to session.

How long will the Bert Flynn park ride be approx.? Just trying to make a few arrangements.

    April 29

    • TracyB

Hi Tricia! The great thing about Bert Flynn is that it runs in loops so you can ride as long as you like! If you have to go after an hour we can get you back to the main road.

    • Tricia B.

Ok. No worries. Bert Flynn is actually my backyard :) Curious to see the loop you choose. I probably want to get back home after 1-1.5hrs. Looking forward to meeting a new group of mt bike ladies!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
