Beginner Ride Skills - Burnaby Bike Park (New Location)

We are starting a second series which will cover basic mountain bike riding skills.

This is a Beginner* ride that will introduce you to mountain biking on single track trails. Each week this month we will cover different mountain bike topics including:

Week 1. Stance and Balance

Week 2. Operations of Controls (gears, shifting, brakes) and Gravity Management

Week 3. Cornering & Line Selection

Week 4. Wheel Lifts

We are moving the final three sessions over to the Burnaby Bike Park now that it is open.

Route: After each session we'll head over and do a lap on "Hang your Hat" to reinforce that weeks skills session.

You have reasonably decent general riding skills and good fitness.

You have done some road riding.

You may need to call bike shops to find that out. The closest shop is Kinetic Cycles, but I don't know if he rents bikes out.
