It was great to get out, get on my bike and see everyone again! I am always impressed by what a friendly, encouraging group this is. Came home and practised with my 6 year old son who finally have up his training wheels and I finally managed a couple of wheelies! Great day:)

Sad I can't join you folks tomorrow, Andrea and I are on vacation for a week. However I came across this video today and thought I would share it. It showcases awesome body positioning with the guy staying very "quiet" in the upper body and moving the bike around him to navigate the trail. Really shows you don't have to get back behind the seat on steeps. Let me tell you I have ridden some of those trails and they do get steep! Anyway, here is the link: http://www.pinkbike.com/news/whistler-local-jesse-melamed-video-2014.html

    Hi,

I'm new to this group and therefor havent participated in previous sessions. Would really like to join though if that's ok despite that? Is it possible to rent bikes at the bike park? I'm getting my own but havent found the right one yet=)

    Thanks

Hi Carl... It's totally fine to join the session - they are individually delivered and I will do a quick review at the start of the 3 other weeks. There is no bike rental at the park. You might want to see if you can rent one from a bike shop near you...

    For the Ladies,

Specialized is apparently doing a demo day out at the Sapperton (New West) Caps, both mountain and road bikes specifically for women.

Might be a chance to try a full suspension or newer bike if you haven't had an opportunity yet.

Doh...forgot that I will be camping that weekend. I promise I will practice my skills in Squamish.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
