Taco Tuesday Returns! Back 2 Burke!

** Ben told me about a newer connector off 6 last week so we are going to check it out this week followed by either Overtime Lower Elevator or one of the other trails below the green gate. then we`ll do a lower loop to finish up. **

Samz Pub in Poco still has 1.00 Tacos Tuesdays and with better weather and light in the evening I figure we should get this favorite ride series going again.

Typically we ride Burke starting from the Flywheel parking area at the switchback near the end of the Pavement on Harper Rd.

Its an intermediate ride for skill fitness and pace. Faster riders welcome. We can also ride from Samz up to the Coquitlam River Trail and Crystal Falls or the Poco trail for beginners and anyone else who wants to come along.

I'll be leaving from work at Dandy Horse Cycles shortly after 6 pm to make the 7 pm start time at the trail head. Check in each week to see where we are riding and what the pace and skill level will be.

Nice night for a ride. Had a couple of challenges. Alden took a wrong turn on the way and missed the start and I broke my chain then my Park chain tool broke, par for the Park chain breaker course, so after eorking on bikes all day I coasted back to the car abd the group carried on for a nice ride.

I'm not familiar with the trails over there - I'm assuming an XC bike is fine for this?

Coming to town, Tuesday July 8 for one day. Looking for someone to lead an experienced rider around your local trails. We'll be staying at Lonsdale Quay and renting a bike from Endless Bikes.

Where are you coming from? Renting ftom Endless you'll be on the shore so likely ride there. We do rides there but if you are completely unfamiliar with the local technical terrain we like to check even experienced riders out on the easier trails first.

Hmmm... its beginning to sound like this ride could be a hard asses on hardtails tribute to a few of our Fraser Valley Friday rides last summer.
