Taco Tuesday Returns!

****** This week we will ride the mid and lower trails. *************

Samz Pub in Poco still has 1.00 Tacos Tuesdays and with better weather and light in the evening I figure we should get this favorite ride series going again.

Typically we ride Burke starting from the Flywheel parking area at the switchback near the end of the Pavement on Harper Rd.

Its an intermediate ride for skill fitness and pace. Faster riders welcome. We can also ride from Samz up to the Coquitlam River Trail and Crystal Falls or the Poco trail for beginners and anyone else who wants to come along.

I'll be leaving from work at Dandy Horse Cycles shortly after 6 pm to make the 7 pm start time at the trail head. Check in each week to see where we are riding and what the pace and skill level will be.

That climb up the back of Burke to Six was quite a ball buster, sorry ladies, but it was worth it! Vic's new, new to me anyway connector to the main climb up just below Overtime is awesome. We combined those with Flow and Lower Slayer to maintain the "something different" theme for a great ride with two great new members. The Hans Dampfs did not do anything unexpected and the Magura brakes on the carbon fiber Felt Compulsion I was riding felt a lot like the XT brakes on my 29r. It was al good all fun all the time!

I checked out the bottom of that connector the other day while climbing up to overtime....does it shoot off of six, or lower TC?

Starts off 6. We did cross other trails, not sure if one was lower tc or not.

Since I did not get to ride the new connector trail off 6 we will head for it this week. Since its just you and I so far Alden and you are a good climber and the weather is good maybe we will head up to Triple Crown. I will likely be on the Norco since my 29r is down waiting for new chain rings. Its a pretty long climb up and the trails are similar to what we have riden so its up to you what bike to bring.

I'm actually going to need to drop out. My hand has gotten really bad and I've had to splint it. I'm off to the doctor's today and will likely be off the bike for a few weeks. Sorry I didn't update last night.
