Contra dance, Ceroc dance, Salsa dance, Social dance; partner dance lessons, teaching ladies how to follow jive or cha cha lead. Attend acoustic music including bluegrass, attend all-you-can-eat buffets. Forage for edible wild mushrooms. Play bridge, teach & learn table (board&card ) games.
It would be nice if partner dance music was playing, but not so loud that it penetrates the entire space. Watching something slow paced like a game of baseball or chess. Visiting an art gallery. Geez I don't know. Hiking works for some people, but I have a sore leg from all the dancing I do. Stand-up pot-luck dinners (finger food only). Musical chairs anyone? Have you ever played "this is a fork, this is a spoon"?
I suppose I prefer to find and pursue a common interest, rather than just talking.
I happened to notice that you planned an English Country dance meetup.
Retired senior citizen, live Whalley, constant partner dancer & student, computer dummy, curious, enjoy bluegrass music but am non-musician, play bridge, non smoker, non drinker, inactive member of Mormon church.
