I've been using Ruby for 5 years now. Head instructor at Lighthouse Labs, Vancouver's first code boot camp.
My name is Rebecca, and I organize a tech event group. I noticed you're involved in the Toronto tech community and I wanted to share our event with you: Tech in Motion's "Open Source - When to use which?" panel.
We'll have a few of Toronto's most diverse open source developers talk about the advantages and disadvantages of using each language for a project. The event is free and we'll have beer and pizza. Hope to see you there! http://www.meetup.com/techinmotiontor...
I'd like to suggest the following groups for you based on your profile, and hopefully you'll find them useful and in-line with your networking objectives, and join accordingly. You can find the detailed info about each group along geographical coverage and other members on the site itself.
All the best. **Health Connections Toronto : http://www.meetup.com/healthconnectio...
**Emergica (Network for Health-related parties) : http://www.meetup.com/Emergica

Check out our Event page on Facebook too - https://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid... there is some discussion going on over there about location, etc. and a few others have RSVP'd there so far. :)
