Which languages do you primarily work in?

Java primarily at work, but I'm always fiddling with different languages on the side -- these days, Javascript and Clojure

How long have you been using Scala?

Fiddled with it for a bit 2008... but when I started to see weird syntax like "xs @ _* b", I ran off to the desert and cried myself to sleep, for 4 years. Now I'm back from the desert, dry of tears, and ready to give it another shot.

What is (are) you favourite Scala feature(s)?

higher-order functions, monadic constructs, pattern matching, traits -- all without giving up static typing :)

Back-end developer by day, front-end developer by night. Vim, all day, all night. "It's all the same. Only the names'll change."
