Vancouver Women Over 50 ( Circle of Friends)

Meet intelligent, educated and/or interesting fun-loving women of ANY age over 50 (50's, 60's, 70's etc.) for friendship, conversation, sharing ideas, laughs, and outings.

If your friends have moved away, if you are new in town, if you are single, widowed, divorced, married and/or retired, and if you just feel a need for new friends and connections, then this is the place for you. If you are shy or hesitant, that's normal. Just jump right in and come one time and then you will wonder why you were ever hesitant.

What is our purpose? Simply to make friends and build relationships. This group will gradually develop since it takes time to make new friendships. We can do that in 2 ways:

1. PARTIES scheduled at my house posted on the HOME page (this page down below)

2. MINIMEETUPS: this is the MAIN way to meet others in smaller group outings posted on the Message Board and organized by ANY member.

Here's some info on these 2 ways:

PARTIES: At the parties of approx 30 women, you will have a lot of fun meeting and talking with new people in a relaxed, informal and non-judgemental atmosphere. Everyone is super friendly, kind and welcoming. Nobody is left standing in the corner alone.
Parties are held at my home about 4 times a year near the Dunbar area; however, we want to see members from ALL areas of Vancouver: Eastside, West End, Southside. We come in a variety of ages, sizes, ethnicity, interests, experiences.

MINIMEETUPS: On our Message Board, you can sign up for minimeetups (smaller group outings) and you can even organize one yourself. This is a very popular way to make friends in a smaller group setting.

This is a private Meetup in that only members will see that you are a member and what you write on the site.
You MUST put a last initial when you sign up, as we have too many members with the same first name & it has caused much confusion. Make up a last initial if you want to.

MEMBERS ARE LIMITED TO THE CITY OF VANCOUVER ONLY since we want to make friends with whom we can visit back and forth easily, often quite spontaneously and within easy distance. We are not aiming for a huge membership and this policy is strictly enforced. Hopefully other groups like this will spring up in the other areas. Why not? Take a chance, even if you start with 10 members; that's all you need. Meet at a restaurant to begin. And every now and then we could have a communal get-together! Now THAT would be fun!

Making friends is our priority; conversations about PRODUCTS and services should not be the reason for attendance at the parties. If you wish to have a mini-meetup (ONCE) to present your products, that is OK; you must have your own venue for it, and I would like to have info about the products IN ADVANCE. It will be posted for one week. Also, you must be DIRECTLY involved with the product you present.
