Oooo, you gotta love the alliteration! And since you're all highly intelligent people, you don't need to look up that word, do you?
Didn't think so...
IT'S TIME TO HAVE SOME FUN! And possibly meet your new ex! LET'S SPEED DATE!!!
Let's face it. We're all too busy to spend countless months trying to meet someone and then date them only to find that they're not "The One". It sucks when we're perfect and they're not. Sigh. So anyway, we need to make snap decisions like we do when we're going through our fridge looking for something to eat. That's what speed dating is all about. Talk, laugh, have fun, and then leave. (I do that when I look in my fridge. Don't you?) What more could you ask for??? Oh yeah, the future "ex". Well, you just might meet them! Woohoo! Definite bonus!
The rules are simple. Talk to someone for five minutes and switch partners. That's it. And since you're here from a meetup group, you can be contacted that way so there is no need to write anything down (unless you want to).
Afterwards, we can have fun! Not that speed dating can't be fun but what I mean is that we're going to be playing games. Fun, adult games! Stuff that may involve balloons and other props.
So you're reading this and saying to yourself "This sounds awesome!" I know it does so don't just nod your head. Say it. Say "YES! I'M GOING!" Say it, you know you want to...
Now that you've committed yourself, what do you need to bring?
-Something to snack on
-A blankey to sit on (Yes, I know. I accidentally hit the wrong key spelling it but then thought it was cute so it stayed.)
-Comfortable, casual clothes. Of course you want to look your best but you might be playing later. And high heels in a grassy park don't mix. (I don't care if you're a man or a woman. High heels and grass do not mix!!! (-especially on a 250 lb man-))
That's about it.
So where will this be? English Bay Beach of course! (Right across from 1519 Beach ave - look for red and yellow balloons). "Why there?" you ask. Excellent question! I'm glad you've been paying attention. Because then you can stay to watch the final day of fireworks in the Celebration Of Light. Or you can spend the rest of the evening dancing the night away in a nearby pub or club (like the Park 1t 1755 Davie, where other MU types will be!) with your new ex (...or not...). Or you can go home feeling all warm and squishy from meeting some cool people. Either way it's a win-win.
See you there!
Note *** Please als be on the lookout for the upcoming "Speed Marriage" followed by the "Speed Divorce" events coming soon. (That you you don't feel like you're cheating at the next speed dating event.)
P.S. Yes, I do start my sentences with conjunctions. AND I like it!
