We've got an exciting round of conventions coming to Vancouver and surrounding areas in the next few months. Want the low-down? This meetup's location is chosen for Val's ability to walk only, but it just HAPPENS to be really close to Dressew, your best place to start for costuming supplies in town! Hint, yes I am planning to dress up for cons this year, and have another BSG costume in mind for Galacticon next year.

Yes, I'm on Skype, so I can always join in virtually if someone has an idea for a location. Same discussion going on the Facebook page. Initial prognosis is 6 mos to a year before I'll have full use of my foot back. Puts a crimp in a lot of my plans.

Think I'm liking matcha lately, and found them at Blenz or Waves.
We could try the "Waves Coffee" on the corner of Richard's and West Hastings (that's across the street from SFU campus downtown). It's still a 2-block walk from either Canada Line or the Main Terminal. There's a Blenz at corner of Granville and Dunsmir but that's a few blocks more, so I think you'll need a bus, otherwise it will be coffee for me after all, and there should other shops closer to a bus path or a terminal.Posted January 19 at 9:23 PM -

I was thinking close to transit when I thought about that. Waves seems busy at that location and if you happen to be (aka) solar powered, it's going to be on the shady side of the street. Granville Isle sounds like a good idea. Perhaps google streets might show something since I don't go on the Isle that often.
