Introduction

I've been a BSG fan going back decades (really) but it's the new "re-imagined" show that really catches my attention. I'm also a Browncoat, so some of you may already know me from that Meetup group.

Who is your favourite BSG character?

Admiral Adama. The interplay between the Admiral and Laura Roslin is wonderful. Edward James Olmos has done a wonderful job with the role.

Do you prefer the new Battlestar Galactica, or the old version?

I love the new show, but I think the old one holds up pretty well. Just don't mention that 1980 version in my hearing...

What is your favourite episode?

So hard to choose...The VFX sequence from Exodus Pt 2 with Galactica dropping into the atmosphere was amazing.

What kind of BSG fan events would you like to see? eg. location scouting, boardgames, watching episodes, costuming.

Location scouting is my favourite type of event and I'll gladly lead people around the various BSG shooting locations in our city. If we find coffee along the way, all the better!

Val, thanks for the nice greeting. I do have a filming location I'm looking for (and if correct, might make a good scouting video) - the location where Philo unloads the U-87 into Greystone's "lab". Pics are here: http://www.visitcaprica.com/2011/01/e... I suspect this is in the Coal Harbour neighborhood but it's one of those areas that's hard to scout remotely.

Hi Val, glad to be part of this group. Thanks for the greeting. The new BSG is one of my favorite Sci-Fi series of all time. Just bought the entire Blu-Ray set too. :-)

The vibrating pencils on the 'nav table' did it for me in that episode and the Galactica coming out of FTL as a starburst...what a rush.

Hi Val thanks for your greeting.Its a pleasure to be with you all. I guess as I live in the UK its unlikely I shall make any of your meets in Canada although I do have a very good friend in Seattle and visit him often so you never know.

Would have been a 'Viper Jock' myself ,given the chance...maybe even the 'Pegasus' airgroup GAG. Sweeeeet fanatasies.lol..........
