Watched both Shun Li and the Poet & Troubled Water. Thank you so much for these exquisite, lyrical, poetic, transcendent, and poignant films! I enjoyed learning from our group's perceptive observations. Besides its visual aesthetic, Shun Li and the Poet does an exemplary job of encapsulating the tenuous, the glimpsed, the mundane, the sublime, and the inexpressible... Trouble Water is absolutely amazing in its ability to delve into several intertwined layers of human emotions and the human condition: torment, hope, atonement, renewal, transformation, guilt, grief, compassion, forgiveness, and healing... The director has a wonderful command of using foreshadowing and flashbacks to intensify the story's suspense. Thanks again for these enriching and memorable films!!

As others have said, I was sorry to not see the second movie which sounded splendid. Shun Li and the Poet was a gem, and a good indication I imagine of the quality of films to hope for from the org. Thank-you! If I can attend the next event I will decide then if I am interested in getting a full membership. THank you. By the way, I was so much looking forward to a built-in social event as part of the plan. I see a lot of movies and have access to many too. With two movies for the evening there was not enough time, though your choices are great.
We really enjoyed Shun Li and the Poet, and we were so moved that we really didn't feel like seeing the second film. I hope it was just as good.
I really enjoyed watching Shun Li and the Poet, it was excellent! Unfortunately, I didn't have enough time to watch the second film.
Only attended the first film: Shun li and the Poet; a well told story of very human emotions across different cultures.
I am disappointed these events never (in my experience) start on time.
Will try to make it if I am back in town in time

A miscommunication with my cousin. It turns out, I will be out of town this weekend. Sorry to miss films.
