Grants for BC and AB Musicians and Filmmakers to make a music video!
Public Records, supported by TELUS, is offering grants of up to $5000 for musicians and filmmakers to produce music videos this summer. The Summer 2013 Music Video Fund is a grant program, providing funding to independent artists - with the final videos will screen on TELUS Optik TV across Canada and artists keeping full rights to the video you produce. The program also includes a TELUS funded production education component that will teach awardees the craft of music video production.
This is a really great opportunity for locals to not only obtain funding for their art, but also gain the exposure they need to further connect and grow your fan-base. So if you’re a musician or filmmaker (or know of someone that fits into that bracket) living in BC or Alberta be sure to visit http://publicrecords.org/grants/ to create an artist profile and get started!
Registration began May 1, 2013 and official grant submissions take place May 31 to June 14, 2013.
