We're a private social club for women in Vancouver (ages 30 - 45) who are interested in food and wine; the arts, fashion, community, recreation/fitness. Perfect for ladies who are looking to meet other like-minded women and form new friendships.
As a woman living in Vancouver it might be an understatement to say that you have a busy life. Between your career, any volunteer work, and your family/personal life, it can be hard to prioritize time for girlfriends. If this rings true, you’re far from alone.
Any woman will say that there is something unique and special about her friendships with other women, yet we often find it challenging to make ‘girl time’ a priority. This is especially true for women who have moved to the city as adults.
The Vancouver Women’s Social Club brings women together in a social environment by hosting special events around our shared interests.
CLUB RULES & ETIQUETTE
Respect and consideration for others are a Top Priority; there is often a large wait list for events so please be considerate to fellow members. When RSVPing make sure you are committed to attending and not just taking a spot that you're likely to cancel later. Late Cancellations and No-Shows are not acceptable. Please review the following carefully.
LATE CANCELLATIONS POLICY
Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice may result in a members removal from the group.
No-shows will be removed from the group.
PAYMENT & TIPPING POLICY
Unless otherwise stated, be prepared to pay for your own food and drinks including at least a 15%-18% gratuity. This is a firm point. If a member does not tip at an event they will be removed from the group.
REAL NAME & PROFILE PHOTO POLICY
The purpose of this group is to "meet up" in real life, for that reason, all members are required to list their real name, along with a clear photo. This helps members recognize one another at events and remember names after-the-fact.
For most events we charge a nominal fee to get a spot on the RSVP list. This helps to ensure that everyone comes and has a good time rather than dropping out at the last minute. Demand is very high for our events and the fee helps ensure people RSVPing really plan on being there. Essentially, this helps to keep the quality of our events high, rather than charging an annual club membership fee.
