An informal get-together and paddle for folding- and inflatable kayak enthusiasts:

"A Celebration Of Total Collapse."

We'll head over to Spanish Banks for lunch (bring your own).

The boats-in-a-cupboard movement seems to be gaining ground, so let's see who's out there. Looking forward to meeting y'all.

Lot of fun as usual. Don't know why you didn't see us at the boat ramps Brian. The meeting place was the boat launch parking lot beside the Coast Guard station. We were at the top till well after 11:00 and so were the majority of the dog walkers. The people assembling the skinned and inflatable kayaks were at the top of the ramp, the others were gathered at the bottom of the ramp. Hope you will get another chance tojoin us and it won't be quite as crowded.

It was a great tour along the English bay with our little invading armada :-) That dragon boat race that we encountered was quite hilarious... It was great to meet you all :-)

It was really interesting to see such a variety of boats. Trying to remember what we had; In no particular order: Innova Sunny, Innova Helios I, Feathercraft, SeaDoo, Stearns Cordova 130, Quayak, Klepper Aerius Expedition I SL, Klepper Aerius 2 Classic. (... and of course, a big hand for our small, but formidable hardshell fleet. :) ) Thanks everybody for coming out.

I want to organize a camping trip somewhere in the lower mainland. I have a car, first aid and security license in case we want to make a bigger group.

Feel free to come along if you don't own a folder / inflatable and just want to check them out. (Hardshell) rentals are available at Ecomarine on Granville Island.

Great weather. Great people. Had hella fun with like-minded individuals.
    •  I arrived at the Maritime Museum parking lot at 9:30 AM. At 10:40 AM I drove to the launching ramp on the other side of park. I saw about 50 dog walkers, looked down the ramp and saw no kavaks. So I drove back to the Museum. I stayed there until 10:50 AM then gave up.

These people are quite the fun group of people. Always entertaining, slightly wacky and they list to starboard, or I list to port. One or the other. I wanta another boat! An inflatable this time.
