Hey Anime fans!! Just wanted start things off by showing off this awsome photoshop by Oscar(Scorp) of a picture we took at the last meetup. Please view the full size version and comment at this link: http://www.meetup.com/vanime/photos/10165482/#[masked] .
Anime Revolution, not to be confused with Anime Evolution, is the newest Anime con to come out for this year. It's going to be the same type of con as AE but is being run by different people. AE is presently trying to recover from the financial and legal difficulties it had last year.
The con runs for 3 days on Friday the 12th, Saturday 13 and ends Sunday 14th. It's partaking at the Vancouver Convention Centre which is the same place AE was hosted in 2009. Its starts each day at 9am then ends past midnight at 1am Fri/Sat and 6pm on Sunday.
We discussed about how we would group together at the last meetup and we decided that we would meet prior to the con. We'll be meeting each day at the Starbucks at Canada Place at 999 Canada Place Suite 140 at 8am which will put us close to the Vancouver Contention Centre. The whole con starts at about 9am each day so that will give us an hour to sit, chat, and discuss what we plan to do at the con. If you can't meet us at 8 then you can meet us later or contact me to tag along with me.
We'll also be meeting each day at 6pm at the Waterfront Centre Food court which directly across the street from the Vancouver Convention Centre. If you exit the front of the convention building and go across the street and walk east along the road you with find stairs leading down to the food court. We'll meet inside the food court by the Subway.
You can see a full list of panels, events, and Exhibits by this description page and the schedule here. We can use this thread on the message board to discuss which events everyone plans to do. We can then use this thread to determine who will be at which events.
If you don't know what you want to do at the con then tag along with me and I'll take to the various events and panels. Once you have your bearings you can know what to expect for next year.
If you at any point can't find meetup then please call me at[masked] and I'll let you know where the main meetup group is.

You can see the prices of passes on this page here . It only lists the 3 day pass there but you might be able to get a day pass at the registration desk. Those, like me, who are purchasing passes on the Friday will probably want meet us at Starbucks then join us in lineup at about 8:30 so we can get ahead of everyone else to buy tickets.
Three Day passes are 75 dollars.
I would recommend everyone take skytrain to this covention to save money and stress from trying to park in downtown Vancouver. The Convention is just a short walk down the hill from the Burrard skytrain station if you take the Burrard exit.
That is that. Look forward to seeing everyone at the con.
