"Health Connection" monthly potluck hosted by Pat and Bob

This monthly potluck has been going for over ten years. It is every 2nd Tuesday of the month. Pat and Bob Herwaldt has been instructing a healthy animal free plant based diet for years and years and they are truly great people.

This potluck is free to join for the first time visitors, however, the admission is about 6-8 serving of "vegan dish" to share. Each month people vote for "the month of the recipe", so be creative on your vegan dish.

Parking is a little tricky. Since the venue is not accessible from Eastern St., get in to Mayhew Wood Dr. then left on Kenturky St. then another left turn on Nevada st. You will see the church on your right.

I normally attend this potluck every month so we can all sit together at the same table :)

If you have any questions, please let me know.

Hi all! This will be my first time attending the potluck- is there a theme for what to bring as a dish to pass? And should I bring a recipe card?

Welcome Katie, there is no theme but healthy vegan food. Yes please bring a recipe card so people can get your recipe later!

Currently under Dr. Benson's care of Fuhrman & Associates, and long-time wellnessforum.com member, I was sooo pleased to learn about this - and Pat & Bob - thanks to Kim K. Once I am back in town and May Tuesday night golf lessons are done, I look forward to making this a monthly priorirty. See you in June!

Bob W. and myself are really looking forward to Tuesday. We will bring a dish to pass and see you all there. The video by N. Barnard should be good!

This month "The Health Connection" will be sharing not only the Best Meal of the Month, but also viewing a pivotal presentation by Dr. Neal Barnard on practical ways to dramatically reduce the risk of Alzheimer disease. Dr. Barnard does an excellent job of separating myth from facts. He helps us understand how our diet and lifestyle choices today can determine our mental health tomorrow. He provides practical guidelines to bolster optimal brain function that can be maintained for a lifetime. We do not need to feel like we are predisposed to lose our mind and the connections to those we love. So come this Tuesday night and learn how to take care of this most important machine: your own brain!

As usual, this free potluck is a great opportunity to try over 20 different recipes at one time and receive encouragement to take control of your own health.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
