Weight Loss/Balanced Body Retreat 2013

This weekend workshop will arm you with the tools necessary to address the physical and emotional components of over-eating, craving and/or not eating enough nutritionally. Classes include hands-on nutritious meal preparation, juicing and smoothies all designed to set you on the path to successful weight loss and energy restoration. Breathing and meditation, saunas and activities for all levels of fitness are offered in a gentle, supportive community environment.

Basic program cost is $275 if registered by May 10th, 2013. After that date registration is $325.

A “low-impact” diet is recommended starting at least 2 days prior to the retreat weekend.

Foods to Include:
• pure water
• fresh fruits
• vegetables
• raw nuts and seeds
• sea vegetables
• fermented foods (apple cider vinegar, sauerkraut or kimchi)
• extra virgin oils (olive, coconut, hemp, flax)

Things to Avoid:
• meat (pork, beef, fish, eggs, shellfish, lamb, goat, squirrel…)
• dairy
• processed foods
• trans fats (cottonseed, soy, canola, “vegetable” oils)
• microwaved and fried foods
• caffeine
• alcohol
• cigarettes
• commercial television – especially the news
