New Meetup: Raw Vegan Dinner at the Heritage

Announcing a new Meetup for The Grand Rapids Vegan Meetup Group!

What: Raw Vegan Dinner at the Heritage

When: Friday, September 24,[masked]:00 PM

Where: The Heritage Restaurant Calendar
Applied Technology Center 151 Fountain Street NE
Grand Rapids, MI 49503

Hi all,

I just got word about a really cool Raw Vegan dinner opportunity at GRCC's Culinary Training Program Restaurant, the Heritage.

This event is actually being hosted by Grand Rapids Rawluck, but they have graciously opened it up to any of our GRVeg members!

Here's the note from Dan of Rawluck:

"Annie Smolinski is setting up a dinner event with GRCC food service at the Heritage restaurant. They will serve us a raw vegan meal and are experienced in raw cuisine. The cost should be about $10 per plate. Considering that it typically costs about $10 to make a raw dish for our potlucks, I thought that was quite a reasonable fee.

The time will be set for 7pm on Friday the 24th of September. Please let me know if you are coming, as this time it will be important for us to have an approximate head count."

It is VERY IMPORTANT that you RSVP to Dan directly at [address removed] and keep your RSVP current! RSVPing on the Meetup website will not reserve your spot. Thank you!

This looks like wonderful opportunity to try fabulous raw vegan cuisine (especially if you're new to vegan food or raw food). But this is also a chance to show culinary students that there is strong customer base for this type of food in the restaurant world. Hopefully they will take this experience with them into their future careers in restaurants, hotels, and catering! Let's show up in numbers!!!

It's been years since I dined at the Heritage, but from what I remember, the quality of the food was superb and the value was exceedingly excellent!

I'm so excited that I'll be in town for this one and I'm looking forward to a delightful evening with you all!

Thank you!
