Ok, here's my take on places, dishes, in GR.
I love Stellas, Gaia, Bartertown, and Brickroad, and Chez Olga
Mangiamos has a great vegan option so does Bistro Bella Vita.  The Green Well and Electric Cheetah both have an excellent quinoa salad that is excellent.  I'm trying Cherry Deli for the first time tonight so we'll see how that goes.  Bombay Cuisine is fabulous! Marie Catribs I like but it's just always so busy there (good thing then I guess :).
I seem to always have a bad experience at Graydon's Crossing.  It's down the road from me and the environment is cool.  I want to like the place so bad but they just keep letting me down.  Olives normallys does a weekly vegan option.
6.1.6 is very accomodating but $$.  That's all I can think of for now!

I've been to most of them and had great experiences/food at BarterTown (Chickpea Melt - yum yum!), Gaia, Marie Catrib's (try the Handyman sandwich on whole wheat herb!), Lai Thai Kitchen, Little Africa, Bombay Cuisine and Brick Road Pizza.

I pretty much always have a terrible time at San Chez though. I've eaten there at least six or seven times since going vegan and I always seem to get really hostile servers. Once I ordered the vegetarian paella and requested it to be vegan and the server said "Well, it's vegetarian." I told her that I would like it vegan and she asked if I had an allergy. I actually am allergic to dairy so I told her that, and then she agreed to have it ordered as vegan.

So there you have it, lots of great places to eat in GR, maybe I just got the grumpy servers when I went to San Chez. :)

Hello Everyone,

Has anyone already tried the restaurants that are featured/vetted on www.vegangr.com ??      Just a thought/suggestion.

I apologize if you've already been to one or all of them.  I'm relatively new to the group.   So if you've been to any of them, did you like it or hate it?

The writers of the website (vegangr.com) have already visited the restaurants, tried their vegan menus, and give their ratings on them.

There are two interesting places featured on there right now...  plus there's a link to the third one down below (Bartertown) - on the webpage under Recent Blogs.

The Grove - 919 Cherry St. SE  http://www.groverestaurant.com/
Brick Road Pizza - 1017 Wealthy   http://www.brickroadpizza.com
Bartertown - 6 Jefferson St.  http://www.bartertowngr.com/

Also, has anyone tried Marie Catrib's at 1001-1003 Lake Drive SE?  http://mariecatribs.com/   They serve both meat & vegan/gluten-free

Thanks,
Kim M

All -
I was looking at going to a place for the first time but was disappointed by their menu selections for vegans.  I emailed them and this was their response:  Please try to find time next week to support this business owner who is trying to accomodate customer suggestions.  Bravo to him!

Eleanor,
Hello, my name is Aaron Adams and I am the head chef at Logan?s Alley. First off, thank you for showing interest in Logan?s and also for you suggestion on some vegan options here. I had a chat with Larry today and wanted to be the one to tell you that I will be working on a vegan option for the menu here. What I will do is put a vegan option on special next week. I will e-mail you and let you know when and what I will be running. If it sounds good to you I will look forward to seeing you for lunch or dinner next week. I would love it if you came down with your freinds and gave me some feedback on what you think about what I have to offer.
Thanks, I will be e-mailing you soon.
Aaron Adams
Head Chef,
Logan?s Alley
