Let's have a vegan barbecue/picnic at Pines Community Center in Northfield

Bring your dogs (if they're friendly and you don't mind cleaning up after them)! Bring a basketball and shoot some hoops, or a frisbee or hackey-sack (is that what you call them?).  Bring a lawn chair.  Bring a softball & bat, or a guitar, flute, or tuba ;^) Bring a Scrabble board (or other board game) or a book. Bring something that can go on a grill (e.g., shish kebabs, corn on the cob, veggie burgers, or a dish made with whole, unprocessed foods (okay - OR a vegan dessert - I'm not going to say it has to be healthy ;^) Relax in the shade of the beautiful, towering pine trees.   Rain Date: Monday, July 4th (is this a holiday?). I'll clean off some grills the day before to ensure there are no residues of you-know-what on them. Louisa P.S. Bring some non-DEET bug spray! Pines Community Center is about half-way between Concord and Laconia: Exit 18 from 93.

Bummer, I missed it, even have Saturdays off. Great weather for it, hope it was a good time for all. Divine burgers are great, and the cafe does a good veggie breakfast or lunch too on weekends. I hear they are closing for a month (July?), and may not continue doing the cafe (as it is it is three days a week only, they make the burgers and sausages the rest of the time for wholesale). Nice folks there if anyone gets the chance to visit it, right in Exeter across from Lincoln St School. -TR

This was a great meetup. Thank you to Louisa for organizing. The weather was perfect, lots of good vegan food, and great people to enjoy it with.

Kathy, Will have 12 Divine burgers. Bought 2 and when I told them about the vegan barbecue they gave me a free 4 pack. I will have a cooler with ice for the burgers and a few drinks. Will have some extra space in it if that helps Louisa.

Thank you for your caring Loisa. It does not have to be your responsibility, howevr. They're adults. If anyone wants to extend that coutesy and compassion, they can call me directly.

This is probably my last attempt, after several failed efforts, to see if there is anyone near Nashua who is willing to share a ride with me to the event. I'm new here and eager to meet this community but have a genetic eye defect that makes driving difficult (and dangerous at night).I am willing to pay for gas. I just want safe passage.

Thanks Kathy, I will pick up the Divine burgers tomorrow and let you know then. It depends on size and price. I think we can cut them in half. Considering all of the food we will have I think a whole one would be too much.

I recently moved to Nashua and am very much looking to get into the veg/vegan community after several years of activism around Detroit. I have a visual defect that makes driving difficult (and dangerous at night). Is there anyone in or around Nashua that I could ride with?

Is there anybody left who is still willing to have voice contact and forego e-mails just once for a person who is trying to establish a community and is sight impaired?
Iy my area code is a problem for your land line I'll call you back. (It took me 4-5 minutes to type just this!!)
    Liam[masked] Somebody?!

I am new in Nashua. It's not like Detroit or Cambridge/Boston. Typing and driving are a problem due to a genetic eye defect. I would welcome a phone call from ANYONE, to help me start networking. [masked]

Anyone going from Nashua that I could ride with?

I think I am going to bring Divine vegan burgers instead of Boca burgers. Saw them last night on Chronicle and they look divine.
