It's funny, about a year ago I visited Cabot cheese in Vermont; there I gorged myself on over 20 different types of cheese samples...I thought I was in heaven. Growing up as a classic "new englander" I embraced clam chowdah, ice cream, cheese, seafood and oh did I mention cheese? Never knowing how sharp that cheddar could cut to my own health and to the well being of cows.Along with these food choices I clung to my unconditional love for animals; never really linking their suffering to my palate passions. Then I woke up one day and no longer wanted meat...it was that easy for me but I would joke to my boyfriend about becoming vegan...OH could you imagine ME not eating dairy?I sit here now after have eaten the most amazing BBQ ribs (morningstar) and creamy "veggie" mashed potatoes and the feeling of those nutrients pursing through my body cannot compare to knowing I did not use an animal, cause any animal suffering,or end an animals life for a couple minutes called dinner.
I am a newbie vegan and lifelong nature and animal lover.... looking to meet new friends, have fun, spread the vegan word to promote health and cause some good stuff to happen for animals out there that need our help and love :)
