Done deal!
Thanks for passing it our way!! Can't imagine any vegans that wouldn't agree with this petition, along with many non-vegans!

I know this may seem non-vegan related but if you care about animals, wild places, or endangered species please sign on to one of the many petitions opposing the Keystone XL pipeline from Alberta to the Gulf of Mexico.  Click on any of the links below to sign a petition or send a message to your senators to stop this pipeline.  The goal is 500,000+ messages in the next 24 hours.

The National Wildlife Federation writes:
Canada's tar sands are one of the most devastating mining operations on earth--destroying enormous swaths of important habitat for woodland caribou and many other wildlife species.
Making this dire situation even worse, we recently learned that Canada's primary solution to destruction of caribou habitat due to oil and gas development in other areas of Alberta has been to poison and shoot the wolves that prey on caribou.

The Center for Biological Diversity  writes:
If built, Keystone XL would transport dirty tar-sands oil 1,700 miles across six states and hundreds of water bodies, posing an unacceptable risk of spill.
