Vegan Grocery Shopping Tour at The Wedge Co-op!

Are you newly vegan, know someone who is or looking to expand your plant-based diet? Join Melissa Maaske, mentor through Vegan University, as you're guided on a tour of The Wedge Coop. You’ll learn simple tips for reading labels, discover products you've overlooked in the past and have your questions on veganism answered. With help from Melissa, you can make health-conscious choices about what you eat!

It's helpful if you bring a small notebook and a pen so you can take notes. Most people also like to go grocery shopping immediately after the tour because they discover amazing products they want to try, so bring your reusable shopping bags, too, just in case. ;)

While it is not required, we do appreciate donations of a couple of dollars to help defray the cost of Meetup fees. Your generosity is much appreciated and will come back to you.

Please be on time so that you don't miss anything and have a wonderful tour!

IMPORTANT NOTES:

* Please only RSVP if you are sure you can make it! There is limited space and these shopping tours are often in high-demand. Double check your schedule before you commit!!

* These shopping tours are intended for people who are new to veganism and who have questions about vegan living. If you're experienced, please pass on this one and leave space for those who can really benefit from the experience.

* If you can give $2 to put toward covering our Meetup fees, we would very much appreciate it, but no one will be turned away due to inability to pay.

How can I know what events are kid friendly?

It really depends on the age of the child and the nature of the event. The grocery shopping tour may be boring for a younger child, but an older one looking to learn more about veganism may be interested. The dine outs maybe a good place to check. Also, there is a Veg Kins program for families who are raining vegan children.

To those of you on the waiting list, know that we are now going to be doing Wedge shopping tours the first Sunday of every month!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
