Lobby our Massachusetts legislature with HSUS!

HSUS requires an rsvp at the following link:

Boston, MA: Humane Lobby Day 2013 - April 25
Massachusetts State House

The Humane Society of the United States, the ASPCA and the MSPCA invite our members and supporters to participate in the 2013 Humane Lobby Day in Boston to help make a tremendous difference for animals.

This is an exciting opportunity to meet directly with your elected officials about legislation that will significantly impact the lives of animals. There will be a briefing with tips for citizen lobbying, and an overview of pending animal legislation which will prepare you to advocate for policies that will curb and end egregious acts of cruelty.

Legislators are most motivated when their constituents make time to meet with them face to face. By attending Humane Lobby Day 2013, you can be instrumental in helping to protect puppies from puppy mills, farm animals from cruel confinement and wildlife from poaching. RSVP today to lend your voice for animals and make a difference in 2013!

Please contact Massachusetts State Director Alexis Fox at [masked] if you have additional questions.

Did anyone else from the meetup make it to the state house?

I found the experience valuable, to meet with our legislatures (or their aides in my case), but even more valuable to meet like mined people. I was not surprised to discover many vegans there but I was also not surprised to find quite a few omnivores. This presented an opportunity to gently make the case for the vegan choices.

I've just registered with the Humane Society. They make all the appointments required. Very cool. If you don't register, they cannot do anything to help and without an appointment, you're not likely to get to see anyone. Sign up here:
