Earth Day Celebration at The Umbrella Community Arts Center , Concord, MA some leadership team members will be at the Framingham Earth Day Celebration, others of us will be at the Concord Earth Day.

It is so great that we can be at two events!  Maybe we can do even more on the same day next year.

This will be our 6th year at the Concord Earth Day celebration walking with our banner in the parade and after the parade handing out literature and explaining how poor diet choices cause the most negative impacts to our planet and quality of life to all creatures.

Please join us on this special day by either walking with us in the parade or at our table during the festival.  My cell # is[masked]-7978.

(The parade begins at the Lowell Bridge and we walk through down town to the front lawn of the Umbrella Arts building on Stow Rd.)

Schedule of events for the day:

River Ceremony, 10-10:45am

Singing, drumming, and launching of Earth Floats at the water’s edge

Lowell Road Bridge and Boat Ramp

Earth Day Parade, 10:45 am-noon

Tomorrow is still on! The river ceremony and parade go rain or shine and the festival portion will be held inside the arts building. If anyone would like to walk in the parade with us - myself, Marcia, Susan, Sherry and Sarah - feel free to meet us at the Lowell Bridge. We will be the ones holding the Vegan Metrowest Network banner. ; ) My cell # is[masked]

Victoria, do you know what happens if it's raining? I guess the parade goes on but is there an indoor space for the tabling?

I think they might move it indoors if raining. I have a canopy that I plan on putting up shine or rain if it doesn't move inside. The most recent forecast on the wather channel is 50% chance of rain. It hasn't rained in the last years - keep your fingers crossed that it holds up! : )

Sarah and I will be at our Gnomestead Press table, with the smoothie blender bike, next to the VMN table -- but available to help when needed. See you there!
