"Forks over Knives": WARNING: this movie could save your life

Are you looking to see the film that has moved many people to a plant-based diet? Are you looking for a film to which you can bring your vegan-skeptic friends?

This film answers why despite the most advanced medical technology in the world, are we sicker than ever by nearly every measure.  Cases of diabetes are exploding, especially among our younger population.

Why are about half of us are taking at least one prescription drug and major medical operations have become routine?  Heart disease, cancer and stroke are the country's three leading causes of death, even though billions are spent each year to "battle" these very conditions.

Could it be there's a single solution to all of these problems?

The film "Forks over Knives" examines the profound claim that most, if not all, of the degenerative diseases that afflict us can be controlled, or even reversed, by rejecting animal-based and processed foods.

After the showing there will be plant-based treats and a short discussion.

Dr Matt Lederman MD, featured in the movie and the author of “Keep It Simple, Keep It Whole: Your Guide to Optimum Health.” will attend the discussion by Skype. http://www.transitiontohealth.com

It was great having Victoria and other MU members there to educate people. This was an event with many non-vegans in attendance. After the movie, half the 40 attendees made a circle around her to discuss the practical aspects of a plant-based diet. The other half spoke with "treat with diet" Dr Lederman MD via Skype.

There will quite a few non-vegans attending with whom we can share the joy of eating plant-based food. Karen and I plan to bring some vegan snacks to share. Any one else want to bring a snack to share?
