Fur-Free Friday Demonstration at the Downtown Seattle Nordstrom
Date: Friday, November 23, 2012
Time: 11am - 1pm
Location: Downtown Seattle Nordstrom at 6th and Pine (just north of Westlake Center)
Fur-Free Friday is the largest annual national day of protest against the sale of animal fur. Animal rights activists will be protesting in cities across the country and abroad. In Seattle, please join Action for Animals in a demonstration targeting Nordstrom, which continues to sell the fur of animals who have been cruelly killed by such methods as drowning, poisoning, strangulation, genital electrocution, and being trapped or beaten to death.
This will be a legal and peaceful demonstration. Signs and flyers will be provided; you just need to show up! The more people we have speaking up for the animals the better, so please be there and invite your friends and family to join you! If you'd like to invite people through Facebook, just visit the Facebook event page.
Please remember to not wear any animal-sourced clothing (leather, wool, feathers/down, etc.). We want people to stay focused on our message of not exploiting animals.
**Fur is not the only animal-sourced clothing that is a product of animal exploitation and cruelty. For information on what's wrong with wool, leather, down, and silk, please visit: http://afa-online.org/docs/skintrade.pdf**

Hope to see you there!
