For the month of May, we'll be venturing outside of the Chicago city limits and visiting a vegetarian/vegan restaurant in Oak Park... Munch!
Located in a neighborhood filled with fun and lively shops, Munch uses well-known and much-loved products from local companies Upton's Naturals and Chicago Vegan Foods (Dandies, Teese, Temptation) and it offers its guests a variety of predominantly vegan appetizers, soups, salads, sandwiches, and entrees. There's also a menu for children, vegan shakes, and an assortment of desserts. The menu can be viewed here.
Munch is within walking distance of the CTA Green Line Harlem/Lake station. For those driving, there's a parking lot located a few doors south of the restaurant (on North Boulevard), as well as street parking.
Due to its small size and limited seating, Munch has generously agreed to close its doors to the public during our event, with the exception of take-out orders.
In order for Munch to best accommodate our group, if you RSVP 'Yes' and have an idea of what you're interested in ordering, please note such when you reply.
If anyone is interested in checking out some of the area shops (Penzey's Spices, Ten Thousand Villages, Pumpkin Moon, Paper Source, Scratch 'n Sniff) prior to the meetup, we can gather outside of Munch at 2:30 p.m. Please note in your reply if this is something you would like to do.
Please consider joining us at Munch! Hope to see you there!
