For the month of March, we'll be venturing to Oak Park for brunch at Munch!
Located in a neighborhood filled with fun and lively shops, Munch uses well-known and much-loved products from local companies Upton's Naturals and Chicago Vegan Foods (Dandies, Teese, Temptation), and its menu offers a variety of predominantly vegan fare. The full brunch-specific menu can be viewed here, and you'll find an assortment of breakfast delectables such as a tofu scramble, cornmeal pancakes, a breakfast burrito, coconut chocolate chip pancakes, combo plates, a variety of sides, and more.
Due to its small size, Munch has agreed to open a half hour earlier than normal to ensure seating for all Vegan Chicago members who RSVP. Since this is not a pre-pay event, please only RSVP if you know for certain you can attend. As the cap is firm, if you sign up and learn prior to the event that you cannot attend, I kindly ask that you update your RSVP in order to free up a spot for someone else.
As Munch is BYOB, if you prefer your brunch to be accompanied by champagne, a bloody mary, mimosa, beermosa, or any other alcoholic beverage, please feel free to bring such.
Munch accepts cash-only, and a cash machine is located within the restaurant with an associated charge of $1.00 per transaction.
Munch is within walking distance of the CTA Green Line Harlem/Lake station. For those driving, there's a parking lot located a few doors south of the restaurant (on North Boulevard), as well as street parking.
For those interested in taking a stroll after eating, some of the noteworthy nearby shops to visit are Penzey's Spices, Ten Thousand Villages, Pumpkin Moon, Paper Source and Scratch 'n Sniff.
Please consider joining us at Munch for Vegan Chicago's first-ever brunch event! Hope to see you there!
