The Kansai Vegan Meet-up Group is for vegans, vegetarians & veg-friendly or veg-curious people. It is an informal and international dining club for anyone interested in vegan issues, healthy food & meeting like-minded people.
Anyone can be the host to hold the meetup in anywhere in Kansai !

Nishinomiya is just between Osaka and kobe and the first city to declare ”environmental learning city” at 2003 in Japan. And only one more city, Moriyama followed it.
Here is the statement.
“The earth is a crisis state now. Conventional society economic activities and the our life style caused problems such as global warming or the desertification and also threaten the environment that is our base for existence.---We, all the people live, study and work in Nishinomiya declare to push forward sustainable town planning of 21st century to base on environmental learning with recognizing anew the mind and step of education bedroom suburb (1963) and the peaceful nuclearfree city declaration (1983) again.”
Many Japanese do not know what vegan is and vegen is connected with environmental problem.
What the organizer Kumiko is doing is paying the fee keeping this group, and hold meetup in Nishinomiya as the vegan enlightenment activity in the city having a strong environmental problem awareness.
