Beach Party at Grapevine Lake! Grapevine lake has gorgeous sandy coves (as pictured to the side) so lets have some fun in the sun for this months meetup!
I will announce where we will be meeting soon. Here is a link to a map.

Please bring a Vegan picnic/bbq style dish with you. If you are planning on bringing a cold dish make sure to bring ice! I'm not sure how the picnic table situation will be so I would suggest bringing a blanket or chair for sitting on also wear sunscreen, bug repellent, and wear or bring swim suits, towels, and sunglasses.
Potluck is not mandatory but to be fair and to have enough food for everyone you should only really eat if you bring food. Bummer, I know but for all the potluck guidelines please see this thread on our message board:

I will provide submarine sandwiches for everyone!
To participate in this event, please bring the following:
* A vegan dish to pass, accompanied by its name and list of ingredients, as well as serving utensils. Please consider putting your name on your list, as it will be easier for other members to connect with you if they're interested in obtaining your recipe.
We understand that not everyone has the time or is interested making something, which is just fine... the only requirement is that your contribution is vegan.
Note: For those who are not vegan or are new and still exploring/learning, this is a gentle reminder that your culinary offering should be void of all animal-derived products. If you have questions/uncertaint
ies about specific ingredients, please contact me.
* A place setting for yourself and each guest you bring. This includes plates, bowls, forks, spoons, knives, drinking cups/glasses, napkins... whatever you think you'll need/want. Its alot more eco friendly then using a bunch of disposables! Tupperware and such containers make for a convenient way to partake and then store for easy cleanup later at home.
* Beverages. Please be sure to bring plenty to drink as, if it's really warm that day, it'll be important to stay adequately hydrated. If you forget, a small deli store is located nearby at the docks.
Optional:
A blanket to sit on
Outdoor/beach toys (hula hoops, frisbees, volleyballs, etc.)
At the end of the event, it will be each person's responsibility to clean up after him/herself (including taking any leftover food). All recyclables will be collected and properly disposed of. Our aim is to leave the area we inhabit in at least the same condition we found it in.
When you RSVP, please identify what you're bringing in the comment section (to avoid 15 potato salads, etc.). If you're not sure what you're bringing at the time you sign up, we kindly ask that you update your RVSP once you've determined such.
Please consider joining us to share a wonderful vegan meal, revel in the camaraderie of like-minded folks, frolic in the sand, play a game or two, and/or stretch out on a blanket at the beach and take a nap... it's all good!
