I'm a raw oatmeal and cabbage man myself. Very rad into it. It has effects that "flash me back" to the late 60's when I was an adolescent, skipped adulthood, now just a Super-uber-mega-hyper-extended adolescent very much looking forward to the infancy of my senility.

Hey guys, I have been doing some research on vegan spots in Dallas and I found some potentially great locations to host this event. I found these on DallasVegan.com

Trinity Hall: This bar is not completely vegan but it offers many vegan menu items including vegan nachos and a chik'n sandwich. They even have desserts from Reverie bakery which is a vegan/ gluten bakery!
Here is a link to the menu http://www.trinityhall.tv/PDFs/Vegan%20Book%20MKII.pdf

Sundown at Granada: Voted best vegan bar by Dallas Vegan. They offer healthier yet savory vegan items.
Here is a link to their menu http://sundownatgranada.com/producttype/vegan/

Anvil pub in deep ellum offers many bar vegan food similar to Trinity Hall. They offer vegan burgers, chili, nachos and much more! I hope these suggestions help!

Hi everyone! I'm new-ish to this group. My vote is for Anvil Pub or Sundown. I did not enjoy the vegan Meetup I attended at Trinity Hall. IMO, it was way too crowded (general public) and our reserved space was too small for the number of vegans that showed up. And I'm glad I brought a friend because no one talked to us. Then again, maybe the next one would be better. I did enjoy the Whole Foods event and did make an acquaintance there. And I am looking forward to this event. Have a great 4th!

Thanks for the feedback Rhonda. Trinity Hall is definitely a challenge, as not only do we compete with the people, it's hard when they usually have a live band on Thursday nights. Their vegan food is just so good, that it's hard to not go there at least now and then. Next time we will try to get them to give us the back area which can potentially be more secluded and cut off from the general public (and away from the band), so hopefully the experience is a little better.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
