COWSPIRACY: The Sustainability Secret is a groundbreaking feature-length environmental documentary following an intrepid filmmaker as he uncovers the most destructive industry facing the planet today – and investigates why the world's leading environmental organizations are too afraid to talk about it. As eye-opening as Blackfish and as inspiring as An Inconvenient Truth, this shocking yet humorous documentary reveals the absolutely devastating environmental impact large-scale factory farming has on our planet.

Everything on living healthy and happy points toward being a vegan including getting completely rid rather than living with cancers, diabetes, Parkinson’s, dementia, back and other pain, migraines, osteoporosis, and etc.
Animals have friends. One will see them chum around with another animal and show affection toward it or a human who is kind. They experience happiness, sorrow, sadness, fear, anger and pain. Animals produced for meat, it appears, are widely tortured prior to slaughter. The meat industries are trying to pass laws whereby whistleblowers go to jail for exposing such activity. When we eat meat we are eating the hormones created as a cow for example sees its adult calf or other cows slaughtered in line ahead as it edges its way to a similar demise. In other words we are eating pain, fear, sadness, anger and sorrow.
Who in their right mind wants to eat feed these things to their children or grandchildren?

I would like to purchase a copy of the movie. Is it available? I loaned a copy of The Gerson Miracle to friends and they told me they went to Sprouts shortly after its viewing. Such movies help. Cowspiracy is one of if not the best. Great impact! It has planted a lot of seeds. The more it is seen the more seeds will be planted.

I guess I will finish off some cheese and eggs that I have in the refrigerator (cream for my coffee will take a little longer to let go of) and go from vegetarian to vegan.

Those interested in meeting up BEFORE the movie, there is a GREAT restaurant right next to the theater called Green House Market (inside the mall). They have a TON of clearly marked vegan options and is the perfect place to eat before the movie. Let me know who else is interested in joining in dinner. I would say a 6:00 meeting time would probably be best, just to make sure everyone gets served.

This event is SOLD OUT! I have created another TUGG event for Wednesday Oct 1, 2014 in Arlington. Once I get the details from TUGG, I will let you know. I really want to see this movie. Once I get it confirmed, I would love it if you would add it as an event. Thanks much! Keep you posted!

Also, I'd love to get together with folks before the movie for a bite somewhere. I don't know the area, but I would be happy eating wherever you guys would. Anyone??? :) My first time to this meetup also.

Hi Simon - take a look at my last comment. There's a great place in the mall called Green House Market that I would suggest. And it might be okay that you don't have a ticket, sometimes there are no-shows and it's not that hard to get in.

I was too late to buy a ticket also. I'll plan on showing up just in case.

    Hi Jamey,
Apparently all 125 tickets are sold. Any idea how to get one ticket?
    Thank you.

    • Jamey

Hi Megan, unfortunately I don't think there will be any additional tickets available, but I'll try to check with the organizers to see if there's any way it could be opened up (might just be a limitation of the venue). We are looking at the possibility of trying to organize another screening in September for those that may have missed it. Not sure if there will be enough interest to get a second screening.

I can't speak for Dallas or the venue but in Austin even though long sold out there were no shows and a few tix available. Certainly be worth a shot showing up.

      1 · August 27

  • Krista

Megan, if I were you I'd just show up. I'm willing to bet not everybody will show, even thought they paid. That's my 2¢ :)

  • Jamey

Just a quick note - if you haven't already purchased your ticket there are only *3* left, so do it NOW if you want to go!

Just saw it in Austin, Eye opening to say the least. A must see for everyone.
