Do you have any Companion Animals?

Tell us a little bit about yourself!

I'm a 50 year old (born in 1962) who loves life, her husband of over 30 years and my two grown children. Reading and tennis are two passions that have been with me my whole adult life. Learning about food, animals and keeping my health and body at it peek performance is a relatively new interest and passion.

How do you define your lifestyle? (eg. vegan, vegetarian, omnivore, etc.)

Started as a herbivore two years ago after reading The China Study. I eat a whole foods plant based diet. No oil and almost no processed foods of any kind. I want to live a long and healthy life. When ask if I'm vegan I say I eat like one. But over the last two years I've read and watched many documentaries. Earthlings was the latest (last week) and I won't be surprised to find myself claiming I'm a VEGAN by the end of 2013. I had thought as a herbivore I wasn't contributing to the cruel treatment and death of animals. As my knowledge increases I realize that is not enough.

What interests you in a vegan diet?
